Pair of Vintage Brooches Possible Greek Orthodox Tamata, Repair Project

♥️ Description ♥️
A little duo of vintage brooches – both in need of repair or repurposing.

The first is a silver coloured rectangular plaque depicting a figure in traditional dress, framed by a geometric border. Though unmarked, it bears a strong resemblance to Greek tamata – small devotional offerings left at Orthodox shrines – and may have been refashioned into a brooch as there is visible soldering on the back. Its handmade clasp has broken.

The second brooch is a delicate floral piece crafted from fine silver filigree, stamped 925. Lacy and symmetrical with tiny applied beads, it has a central raised dome and a traditional C-clasp which is now broken.

Together they’d suit a jeweller, crafter, or collector.

• Plaque brooch: 4.5 cm tall × 2 cm wide
• Filigree brooch: approx. 3 cm diameter

♥️ Age ♥️
Likely mid-20th century (1950s–1970s) for both pieces

♥️ Condition ♥️
Both clasps broken. No hallmark on plaque brooch so sold as seen; filigree flower is marked 925. Patina and wear appropriate to age. The plaque brooch is scratched and marked on the back.
